This is the beginning of the start. The early ritual on the much awaited wedding ceremony of India top actors Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan has been begun Wednesday April 18th with the traditional sangeet, or music ceremony, during which relatives of the couple sing and dance.

After that comes the henna ceremony, during which the bride's hands are painted, which is about to be held at Rai's house on Thursday April 19th. The last ritual is the Hindu ceremony and traditional parting of the bride from her parents, set to take place Friday April 20th.

Aside from the rituals, details on the nuptials are being made public as well. Tabloid reports mention that Bachchan residence is all set to host the wedding with only 100 guests invited and more than 500 police are expected to be on hand to keep out gatecrashers.

During her wedding ceremony, Aishwarya will wear a traditional hand-embroidered sari with intricate gold work on her wedding day, the actress' favorite designer, Neeta Lulla, confirmed in an interview published Tuesday April 17th. The groom, meanwhile, will wear a sari created by famous Indian designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
