Hooking up with Roadside Attractions, Samuel Goldwyn Films LLC has scooped up the theatrical distribution rights to true crime thriller "Lonely Hearts", The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

Based on the true story of the notorious "Lonely Hearts Killers" of the 1940s Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez, the flick centers in two homicide detectives named Elmer C. Robinson and Charles Hildebrandt who try hard to bring the couple to justice. Playing the investigating duo are John Travolta and James Gandolfini while Jared Leto and Salma Hayek portrayed the murderous pair.

Filming on the movie took place in some U.S cities in Florida and New York under the direction of Todd Robinson with Boaz Davidson and Holly Wiersma producing. It is scheduled for a limited release on April 13 this year followed by a launch of the DVD version in late summer/early fall through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
