Celebrating the fifty-ninth time of giving honors to writing names behind either big or small screens, the Writers Guild of America unveiled yesterday, January 11, the finalists of this year's WGA Awards which will take place at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles on February 11, 2007.

Scribes for "The Queen", "United 93", "Babel", "Stranger Than Fiction", and "Little Miss Sunshine" all were mentioned contenders in Best Original Screenplay category while those penning for "Borat", "The Departed", "Little Children", "Thank You for Smoking", and "The Devil Wears Prada" earned nod in that of Adapted Screenplay.

As for the small screen, the Guild also picked five writing teams each in Dramatic and Comedy Series, lining up the writers behind "24", "Deadwood", "Lost", "Grey's Anatomy", and "The Sopranos" in the former slot and those behind "30 Rock", "Arrested Development", "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Entourage", and "The Office" for the latter.
