Following Susan Sarandon, one more glowing talent has successfully been included in the cast of "The Girl in the Park." According to Production Weekly, British actress Emily Blunt has given her agreement to carry out a starring role in this dramatic project, which is set to be the directorial debut of Tony and Pulitzer-winning playwright David Auburn.

Here the beauty is assigned to play a troubled young woman with a checkered past named Louise who is thought by Sarandon's character, Julia Sandburg, to be the daughter she lost so long ago.

Other than Sarandon and Blunt, there is no word yet about the male cast. Though so, production of the film has been scheduled to start filming this fall in New York with Auburn also being assigned to pen the script.

Initially began her acting career through small screen features, Blunt was recently seen in 20th Century Fox's "The Devil Wears Prada" alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Her next projects include "Who Killed Norma Barnes?" and "Wind Chill."
