AceShowbiz -

Paris Hilton was reportedly bitten by Baby Luv, her kinkajou monkey, in the early hours of Tuesday morning August 8th, because of which she had to visit a hospital emergency room to receive a tetanus shot.

The actress' spokesman, Elliot Mintz, has confirmed the incident, revealing Paris was frolicking with her exotic pet early Tuesday morning "the way some people play with their cats and dogs" when the animal became excited. "Baby Luv bit her. It's a superficial bite on her left arm," Mintz continued.

Though not badly hurt, Hilton who concerned she was bleeding, called Mintz at 3 a.m. local time and then he took her to the hospital. "She was seen by a doctor, who treated the wound, gave her a tetanus shot, cleaned the wound and applied something to it," Mintz said.

They then left the hospital around 5:30 a.m. and what a fortunate that Hilton's arm did not appear to be swollen the next day. She, moreover, also felt well enough to continue promotions for her highly anticipated debut album "Paris", set for Aug. 22 release date.
