Ashlee Simpson has signed on as the new face of Skechers.

AceShowbiz - Footwear giant Skechers has recruited platinum recording artist Ashlee Simpson to be its new face, replacing previous celebrity endorsers Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears in promoting the company's line of footwear.
Speaking on the singer's picking, Skechers president Michael Greenberg said, "Ashlee is a leading force in the music industry. She's young, beautiful, talented, and � is also the perfect union between fashion and music, using her influence to empower young women to be themselves. We were drawn to her energy, style and grace."
As of Ashlee, she commented "I grew up wearing Skechers. Like me, they are not afraid of taking chances and having fun. I'm happy to be a part of the brand and hope to add a few more pairs to my closet."
As agreement has been reached between both parties, Ashlee will then appear in Skechers ads through 2007 with her first photo session for the company about to be done in August after wrapping up her summer concert tour.
