Iggy Pop, has confirmed he's making a reunion record with his old band The Stooges, more than three decades after the band broke up

AceShowbiz -

It's been more than three decades that The Stooges broke up. But it is still possible for the band to reunite with punk icon Iggy Pop. To bring the reunion into life, both sides are making a reunion record.

The as-yet-untitled set reportedly is due out next year via Virgin and will be produced by Steve Albini. In addition, it will also feature several tracks produced by Jack White.

And subsequent to the recording project, The Stooges will next embark on their first full-blown reunion tour. One date confirmed is an appearance in December at the U.K.'s Nightmare Before Christmas festival, which will be supported by Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore.
