Laura Linney has signed on to star alongside Scarlett Johansson in "The Nanny Diaries" for The Weinstein Company

According to the reports made public by Variety, Laura Linney has signed on to star in the upcoming drama comedy romance "The Nanny Diaries". The notable actress will star in alongside fellow movie star Scarlett Johansson.
Will direct the flick is Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, who both wrote the adaptation of Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus' best-selling book of the same name as well.
As of the story, "The Nanny Diaries" centers on Annie Braddock (Johansson), a young woman from New Jersey who ends up in the elite culture of Manhattan's Upper East Side as a nanny for a wealthy family, referred to as simply "the Xs."
Linney, meanwhile, is slated to portray the head of the household, Mrs. X, who forces Annie to cater to her every whim.
