Ruben Studdard is sued by his former manager for failing to pay his management fees and not reimbursing him for expenses

AceShowbiz -

American Idol winner Ruben Studdard is sued by his former manager Ron Edward for notwithstanding to pay his management fees and compensating him for expenses. Edward's lawsuit filed on Friday is said to be a counterclaim to Studdard's lawsuit filed in February claiming Edwards and his Birmingham marketing and advertising firm, Sez Inc., misused $246,000 in the year that he worked for him. Furthermore, the suit also accuses Edwards for making unauthorized expenses after he was fired.

Edward, on the other hand, denies all those reports, saying through his attorney Glennon Threatt that he and Studdard are longtime family friends and that he had agreed to help Studdard for free before he won American Idol in May 2003.
