In a dystopian future where overpopulation has led to a strict one-child policy enforced by the ruthless Child Allocation Bureau, a brilliant scientist hides his seven identical granddaughters by giving them the same identity—each named after a day of the week. As adults, they share the life of one person, Karen Settman, taking turns to go outside while the others remain hidden in their apartment. The fragile balance of their existence shatters when Monday, played by Noomi Rapace in a tour-de-force performance across seven distinct roles, fails to return home. As the remaining sisters—Tuesday through Sunday—investigate her disappearance, they uncover a terrifying conspiracy orchestrated by the Bureau’s icy director, Nicolette Cayman (Glenn Close), and a ruthless enforcer (Willem Dafoe) who will stop at nothing to eliminate them. Directed by Tommy Wirkola, this taut sci-fi thriller blends high-stakes action with a chilling moral dilemma, forcing the sisters to question who they can trust as the walls close in around them. With a relentless pace and a darkly inventive premise, the film explores themes of identity, sacrifice, and survival in a world where individuality is a crime.
