Ghost Hunters
In this uproarious short comedy, a team of bumbling paranormal investigators finds themselves in over their heads when ...
In the storm-lashed isolation of a remote New England island, two lighthouse keepers descend into a vortex of madness and myth. Robert Pattinson plays Ephraim Winslow, a taciturn young man seeking a fresh start as a wickie’s assistant, while Willem Dafoe is the grizzled, domineering veteran Thomas Wake, who guards the lighthouse’s beacon with possessive zeal. As their four-week posting stretches into an endless purgatory of howling winds and crashing waves, the men’s fragile sanity begins to erode under the strain of isolation, heavy drinking, and surreal visions. Directed with oppressive atmosphere by Robert Eggers, this stark black-and-white descent blurs the line between psychological horror and maritime folklore, where suppressed desires and paranoid delusions fester. The central conflict becomes a brutal battle of wills, as each man questions the other’s reality, haunted by mermaids, storms, and the seductive, forbidden light atop the tower.
