In the glamorous yet deadly world of 1947 Hollywood, a hard-boiled private detective finds his latest case is anything but routine in the comedic mystery Kill Me, Deadly. When famed actress Mona Livingston, portrayed by Lesley-Anne Down, is discovered with a legendary cursed diamond clutched in her hand, private eye Charlie Nickels, played by Dean Lemont, is thrust into a whirlwind of murder, mayhem, and movie studio intrigue. As Nickels navigates a colorful cast of suspects including a fast-talking agent (Paul F. Tompkins), a mysterious chauffeur (Keith Allan), and a pair of persistent federal agents (Joe Mantegna and Shemar Moore), he must rely on his sharp-witted secretary (Kirsten Vangsness) to help untangle the web of deception. Directed by Darrett Sanders and written by Bill Robens, this affectionate parody of classic film noir blends snappy dialogue with slapstick humor as Nickels races to solve the case before he becomes the next victim, all while trying to determine if the real curse is the gemstone or the Hollywood machine itself.
