Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle
In the great cinematic tradition of Road Trip and Dude, Where's My Car? comes Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, which...
Four socially awkward teenagers from suburban London face the ultimate test of their friendship and manhood as they embark on a disastrous summer holiday in Crete in this raucous coming-of-age comedy. Will, a clever but pretentious student played by Simon Bird, along with his equally hapless friends Simon (Joe Thomas), the clueless Neil (Blake Harrison), and the crude Jay (James Buckley), are desperate to shed their virginity and gain some much-needed social status before starting their final year of school. Their plan to party with beautiful girls and become popular falls apart almost immediately, as their awkwardness, poor decision-making, and a series of escalating humiliations turn their dream vacation into a nightmare of embarrassing encounters. From disastrous attempts at flirting with local women to run-ins with a menacing group of lads, the quartet stumbles from one cringe-worthy situation to the next. Directed by Ben Palmer, this sharp and unapologetically crude comedy captures the painful awkwardness of teenage life with a surprising amount of heart, as the boys ultimately discover that true friendship matters more than fitting in.
