The story of firefighter Louis Mulkey, who was an assistant high school basketball coach in South Carolina before he and eight others perished in a 2007 fire at a Charleston furniture store. The local fire department presented the team with a custom memorial fire helmet, which was placed on the bench for each of the team's games in the following season -- which saw the team win its first-ever state championship.
