This contemporary reimagining of the classic Marvel Comics property, directed by Josh Trank, chronicles the origins of the Fantastic Four. A brilliant young scientist, Reed Richards, played by Miles Teller, works with his friend Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) on a dimensional teleportation project. They are later joined by siblings Sue (Kate Mara) and Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan), along with their mentor, on a daring mission to an alternate universe. The journey goes catastrophically wrong, bathing the explorers in unknown cosmic energies that radically alter their physical forms. Reed gains the ability to stretch his body, Sue can become invisible and project force fields, Johnny commands the power of fire and flight, and Ben is transformed into a super-strong being of living rock. Forced to embrace their startling new abilities, the quartet must learn to work together as a team to confront the unforeseen consequences of their experiment and the threat it has unleashed upon our world.
