When a group of university students, including the determined Alexis Knapp and the sharp-witted Cassie Steele, are assigned to stay in a long-abandoned dormitory for a special study program, they believe they've hit the academic jackpot. However, the isolated building, under the watch of a stern resident advisor played by Max Lloyd Jones, holds a dark and violent history that refuses to stay buried. As strange and terrifying events begin to unfold, the students discover that the dorm itself is a prison for a malevolent force that feeds on their deepest fears and regrets.
