When beloved local radio host Alan Partridge Steve Coogan finds his station taken over by a slick corporate conglomerate, his comfortable world is thrown into chaos. Faced with the threat of being replaced by a younger, more bouncy presenter, Alan must fight to save his job and his reputation. However, his plans take a darkly comedic turn when a disgruntled colleague, Pat Farrell Colm Meaney, takes the station hostage with a shotgun, demanding Alan act as his sole negotiator. As a media circus descends on North Norfolk Digital, Alan finds himself thrust into the role of unlikely hero, navigating a tense standoff that is equal parts absurd and perilous. With his ego and career on the line, he must use his unique brand of blundering charm and self-serving logic to talk Pat down, all while trying not to get himself killed or, worse, lose his prime-time slot. Directed by Declan Lowney, this riotous comedy expands the beloved small-screen character into a feature-length adventure, blending sharp satire with slapstick chaos. The film masterfully balances laugh-out-loud moments with genuine tension, anchored by Steve Coogan's impeccable comic performance and a brilliant supporting cast including Anna Maxwell Martin and Sean Pertwee.
