"HINDSIGHT"
In the brief but chilling horror short HINDSIGHT, director and writer mary doeppenschmidt crafts a disorienting glimpse...
Time is running out for forensic psychiatrist Dr. Jack Gramm, played by Al Pacino, when he receives a chilling phone call informing him he has only 88 minutes to live. A respected professor and expert witness, Gramm’s testimony years earlier helped secure the death sentence for a notorious serial killer, Jon Forster (Neal McDonough). On the eve of Forster’s execution, a copycat killer emerges, using the same signature methods, throwing Gramm’s original conviction into doubt and making him a target. As the ominous countdown ticks away, Gramm races through the streets of Seattle, desperately piecing together clues with the help of his teaching assistant Alicia Witt and FBI friend William Forsythe, while questioning everyone around him, including colleagues Amy Brenneman and Deborah Kara Unger and a troubled student (Leelee Sobieski). Directed by Jon Avnet, this tense thriller traps the audience in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where every second brings Gramm closer to a deadly truth and potential betrayal from those he trusts most.
