Formed in the heart of Music City in 2010, A Thousand Horses emerged as a potent force in the country rock scene, blending Southern rock grit with contemporary country melodies. The band, originally comprised of lead vocalist Michael Hobby, lead guitarist Bill Satcher, bassist Graham Deloach, and guitarist Zach Brown, carved out a distinct sound that resonated with fans seeking a rootsier, band-oriented aesthetic. Their journey from Nashville clubs to national recognition was marked by a record-breaking debut and a steadfast commitment to their musical vision.

The group's origins trace back to the long-standing friendship between Hobby and Satcher, who began playing music together in their native Newberry, South Carolina, before relocating to Nashville to pursue their dreams. They were soon joined by Deloach and Brown, solidifying the lineup. Their self-titled debut EP, released in 2010 under Interscope Records, introduced their signature blend of influences. After a period of touring and refining their sound, the band found a fitting home in 2014 when they signed with Republic Nashville, a division of the powerhouse Big Machine Label Group.

Following their initial breakthrough, A Thousand Horses continued to tour extensively and release new music, including the 2020 album "Broken Heartland." The band experienced a significant lineup change in 2023 when founding member Zach Brown departed to pursue other interests. As a trio, Hobby, Satcher, and Deloach pressed forward, maintaining their dedicated fan base through live performances and a connection to the organic, communal spirit of Southern rock.
