Sometimes Always Never is an upcoming drama film directed by Carl Hunter and written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. The film stars Bill Nighy as Alan, a lonely man who befriends a widow named Sandy (Annette Bening). The two form a close bond, but their relationship is put to the test when Sandy's son (Alex Sharp) returns home from prison. The film premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on April 5, 2019.
