In this exclusive preview of "The Middle" episode 7.06, "Halloween VII: The Heckening," Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton) is determined to have the best Halloween party ever. With the help of Brick (Atticus Shaffer), she goes all out with decorations and costumes. However, her plans are threatened when Axl (Charlie McDermott) and Sue (Eden Sher) decide to go trick-or-treating with their friends instead. Frankie is disappointed, but she eventually comes to terms with the fact that her kids are growing up and becoming more independent. Meanwhile, Mike (Neil Flynn) is stuck at work on Halloween night, but he finds a way to make the best of it by taking his co-worker, Brad (Brock Ciarlelli), out for some tricks and treats.
