After his childhood friend Ushio’s sudden death, Shinpei Ajiro returns to his remote island home of Hitogashima for her funeral, only to be plunged into a mystery far darker than a simple tragedy. He soon learns that Ushio’s death may be connected to a centuries-old local legend about "shadows" — doppelgangers that can mimic and replace the living. When Shinpei himself is attacked and killed by one of these entities, he discovers he has been granted a strange ability: the power to rewind time after death, sending him back to a specific point to try again. Now, trapped in a time loop, Shinpei must race against the clock, using each reset to gather clues, protect those he loves, and unravel the sinister conspiracy behind the shadows before they consume the entire island. This gripping psychological thriller blends time travel, supernatural horror, and high-stakes suspense, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats with every desperate, looping return.
