In the quiet, rural town of Kazamatsuri, the unassuming high school student Kotarou Tennouji is grappling with a strange and unsettling ability: he can rewind time, but only by small increments and only for a short period. This power, known as the "Rewrite," thrusts him into a hidden world of mystery and danger when he encounters the enigmatic and ethereal girl, Kagari, who appears to be connected to the very fabric of the town's existence. As Kotarou is drawn into a secretive organization and the orbit of five other girls, each harboring their own unique supernatural abilities and hidden agendas, he discovers that the idyllic town is a stage for a much larger, darker conflict. Balancing slice-of-life school days with escalating supernatural battles, this anime weaves a compelling tale of destiny, sacrifice, and the desperate struggle to protect what truly matters, as Kotarou must decide how far he is willing to go to rewrite the fate of everyone he holds dear.
