In the delightfully absurd romantic comedy Girlfriend, Girlfriend, high school student Naoya Mukai finds himself in an unprecedented romantic predicament when his longtime girlfriend, Saki Saki, discovers that he has confessed his feelings to another girl, Nagisa Minase. Rather than choosing between them, Naoya makes an audacious proposal: he wants to date both girls simultaneously, and to his astonishment, Saki and Nagisa reluctantly agree to this unconventional arrangement. The series follows this hilarious and chaotic love triangle—or rather, love V-shape—as Naoya navigates the challenges of maintaining two relationships under one roof. The central conflict emerges from the constant tension between Saki's possessive nature and Nagisa's sweet demeanor, compounded by the arrival of other love interests who threaten to complicate the already messy dynamic. With its over-the-top comedic style and self-aware humor, the show embraces its ridiculous premise wholeheartedly, delivering laugh-out-loud moments while exploring themes of commitment, jealousy, and what it truly means to care for multiple people. The voice cast brings these eccentric characters to life, making each absurd situation feel surprisingly genuine and endearing.
