Two days until impact...

Gaines (Paterson Joseph) and Scotty (Kyle Soller) drive to Mount Genesis, but have different plans for the president. After giving a motivational speech to the women who will be tasked with repopulating Earth, Gaines releases a video to the press stating that Savior didn't work and the comet is still on course to destroy mankind. Upon returning home, Gaines and Scotty find Spike, Rajesh and Sutton's henchwoman in their house, pleading to help them spring Rhonda (Jenna Fischer) from the military base and head to Sutton's bunker in Slough.

Rhonda faces a military tribunal and is sentenced to death. While awaiting her fate, guards bring in a new prisoner - Leanne (Megan Mullally), charged with aiding and abetting a terrorist. Gaines and Scotty use their military credentials to enter the base and demand her release, but Scotty is wounded when the guards get wise to the ruse and open fire during a daring prison break.

No longer a nun, Celine (Gaia Scodellaro) brings Jude's (Rob Lowe) body to Slough for a family funeral. While at a local pub, Celine, Jamie (Mathew Baynton), Dave (Joel Fry) and Paula (Pauline Quirke) see the news announcement of the failed Savior rocket and resolve to get drunk. While Jamie runs out to meet up with Layla, he's cornered by his grandmother, who offers him a spot in the bunker. On the way to collect Layla and Frankie, a truck slams into Jamie's car and Ariel emerges as the driver. He kidnaps an unconscious Jamie, locks him in a bank vault and assumes Jamie's identity, aiming to take Jamie's spot in the bunker with Layla.
