33 days before impact...
Scotty McNeil (Kyle Soller), America's foremost expert on extinction-level events, briefs the president on the comet and tells him to announce Operation Savior - a plan to save the world. In a private meeting, Scotty and General Gaines (Paterson Joseph) tell the president that Operation Savior is a plan to keep the populace calm while they secure a group of fertile women to hide out with the president and repopulate in a bunker called Mount Genesis.
White Horse, aka Ariel (Mathew Baynton), believes the apocalypse is a lie purported by the U.S. in an attempt to restructure the government. Desperate to get back to her son and husband, Rhonda (Jenna Fischer) tells Ariel she's not a hacker, and he quickly figures out Spike (Fabian McCallum), her son, is the real hacker. Ariel dumps Rhonda on the side of the road.
Jamie's mom, Paula, (Pauline Quirke) gives him the last address she has for his biological mother - his best chance to find his wife, Layla. He and Dave (Joel Fry) arrive to find the residence in disrepair. After a disappointing look around, they're hit by blow darts and wake up the next day handcuffed in a bathroom and confronted by a very angry pregnant woman calling Jamie "Ariel."
Father Jude (Rob Lowe) gets called in to a meeting with the Vatican cardinals where he is tasked with investigating the second coming of Christ, but Jude fears they'll meet the Antichrist. As Jude and Celine (Gaia Scodellaro) start their investigation together, it's clear there's some sexual tension.
