It is Sam's first Christmas as an official part of the family and he can't wait to give Mel her gift. He prides himself on being a great gift-giver. When he learns that Dick bought Angela the same old thing he offers to help Dick get something really special for her. In the meantime, Angela busies herself baking her famous holiday cookies and hiding Sam's gift to Mel. Sam's attempt to help Dick get the perfect gift doesn't end so perfectly.
