A clear, winter morning on a pleasant suburban street. Cate and Julie (both blonde and in their 30s) are best friends and neighbors who share a cup of coffee as Julie readies her 9 year-old son, Gavin, for pee-wee hockey practice. After the boy leaves a mysterious van backs into Julie's open attached garage. The women realize someone is trying to break in. Cate rushes to call 9-1-1 as Julie tries to lock the door.
