It's 9:30 AM on a Saturday morning and hundreds of people are waiting in line to get into Ike's bar. EDDIE (34) can't believe his luck. A week before, hardly anyone wanted to darken his door. And then a religious icon behind the bar seemed to start weeping. Is it truly a miracle? Or only a cynical attempt by Ike to keep his bar afloat? It doesn't matter; cash has been pouring in and people are believing. As the crowd grows, and the resulting shrine begins to attract people looking for all sorts of changes in their lives, Ike and the statue vanish.
Eddie's disappearance comes on the heels of yet another encounter with his dead beat brother, the bioligical father to Eddie's daughter. We follow Eddie's trail, which at first leads to a string of other "miracles" attributed to the icon: people are reunited, fences are mended. But those with darker motivations have also been drawn to the icon. Did Ike run afoul of someone who desired it for nefarious reasons? Did a neighborhood money launderer believe the attention surrounding the icon was undermining his clandestine business? Or was something even darker at play behind Eddie's disappearance? As our agents delve further into the mystery, they contemplate their own deepest wishes.
