After breaking up with Kelly, Xavi (Jencarlos Canela) admits he still has feelings for Ana (Eva Longoria) and that he wants to try it again. He asks Ana to meet him for coffee; if she doesn't show up, then he'll accept she just wants to be friends. Ana is confused at first, but decides she wants to give their relationship another shot and goes to the coffeehouse - only to be stood up by Xavi.
Mimi (Diana Maria Riva) and Gael (Jose Moreno Brooks) are ready to console Ana, but she instead declares that her stalker must've got to Xavi first. With the help of the cast, Ana tries to identify her stalker, but soon accepts she's looking for an excuse for Xavi's change of heart. Mimi and Gael admit to each other that they think Xavi got back together with Kelly... until it dawns on them that all of Kelly's amazing qualities are actually plotlines from Ana's other telenovelas. Just as they figure it out, Ana arrives home - and finds a bound and gagged Xavi and a knife-wielding Kelly in her living room.
Kelly admits she's always wanted to be Ana, down to dating Xavi. But when she realized that wasn't possible, she settled on being Ana's best friend. Playing along, Ana calls Mimi to say they're no longer friends, while actually revealing she and Xavi are trapped. Mimi, Gael, Rodrigo (Amaury Nolasco), Roxie (Jadyn Douglas), Isabela (Alex Meneses) and Isaac (Izzy Diaz) rush over to save them, but they're too late. The stray bird trapped in Ana's apartment does the saving, flying into Kelly's face and sending her over the balcony.
Finally alone together, Xavi and Ana agree to give it another shot and seal it with a kiss. But their happiness is short-lived when James (Zachary Levi) returns from the dead and declares he wants Ana back.
