Telenovela Episode 1.01 Pilot

Telenovela star Ana Sofia Calderon (Eva Longoria) is on top of the world... until her ex-husband Xavier Castillo (Jencarlos Canela) is cast opposite her on the hit show Las Leyes de Pasion. The former lovers bump heads on set, particularly over Xavi's refusal to admit he cheated on Ana. Afraid Xavi is stealing her thunder, Ana Sofia tells network president James McMann (Zachary Levi) that she doesn't want to be Xavi's lover on the show. Meanwhile, Gael (Jose Moreno Brooks), the cast's resident hot guy, starts binge eating, nervous about the competition. Much to Ana's surprise, the network gives the role of Xavi's love interest to the youngest cast member, Roxie Rios (Jadyn Douglas), with Ana playing Roxie's mother. Ana throws a fit, unaware that a klatch of fans is capturing it on their phones. After the video is all over the Internet, Ana decides it's all Xavi's fault, and she's going to get revenge by stealing his boat.

Alongside her best friend and stylist, Mimi (Diana Maria Riva), Ana Sofia breaks into Xavi's yacht, but the plan goes awry when she drops into his bedroom. The former couple has a heart-to-heart: Ana realizes she's been blaming Xavi for ruining their marriage and he apologizes for cheating. Deciding to capitalize on their tender moment, Ana calls in the paparazzi to witness a staged kiss, which has a lot more heat than she expected... Back on set, Ana is thrilled to see that James has restored her to the full spotlight, which she's now willing to share with Xavi.
