Don and his team investigate a burglary at the Filipino Consulate, and discover that only a $250,000 pair of designer athletic shoes were stolen during the robbery. The victim, Consul Richard Nespola, is desperate to get them back and gives the team a crash course in the competitive world of sneaker collecting, as they try and wrap their heads around the insanely high price of the sneakers. The investigation focuses first on Nespola's main competitor, the eccentric rapper DJ Lil' Nutz, but then shifts when the stolen shoes are discovered to have been used to facilitate a counterfeit sneaker operation run by an Albanian gang. After leaning hard on the leader of the gang Don discovers that the thief had only loaned the sneakers to the Albanians to make a mold, and had then sold the originals to another collector. The team catches the thief, who leads them to his employer, DJ Lil' Nutz. However, when they go to recover the sneakers they discover that Nespola had taken things in to his own hands and had the sneakers stolen back from Lil' Nutz, along with his entire collection.
