When Jess (Zooey Deschanel) runs into her ex-boyfriend, Paul (guest star Justin Long), and Nick (Jake Johnson) runs into his ex-girlfriend, Caroline (guest star Mary Elizabeth Ellis), the gang fears they may "backslide" into relationships with them.
