Nathan is excited about scoring a ticket for himself and a guest to a dinner with President Obama, but that excitement quickly turns to dread when he realizes he'll have to pick one of his family members to attend with him. Carol, Tom, Debbie, and Adam all feel that they deserve to go, but they can't convince Nathan enough to make a choice, so he removes himself from the process entirely. The family draws names from a bowl and Adam winds up winning the ticket, but everyone disagrees with him being the one to attend. Nathan winds up offending every one of his family members enough that he's forced to go to the dinner alone, where he has a chance run-in with the President in the restroom. Later, Nathan gets back in his family's good graces by giving them each a signed napkin with a message from the President - which Nathan wrote and signed himself.
