Annie forces the gang to watch the old VHS tapes of her childhood plays that she brought out of storage to show to her and Jake's wedding officiant. The poor woman made the mistake of telling Annie she wanted to get to know them. The thing is, Annie used to suffer from crippling stage fright, so they weren't school plays, but ones she put on in her backyard.

While the videos are terrible, at least Gil has made waffles! Every year, he makes waffles in his booth at the Flemish Pride Parade and Gil is quite proud of his Flemish heritage. After all, he's 120% Flemish.

"There was a little bit of inbreeding going on," he explains.

Later that day, Annie and Jake head to the Dawn the officiant's office, where she points out that first of all, she has no interest in watching Annie's videos; and second of all, after reviewing their questionnaires, she noticed that Jake knows very little about Annie's dads. Jake thinks he has a great relationship with the Kevins, but after some social media stalking, realizes he actually can't tell them apart.

"Apparently, Kevin loves the Pixies. While Kevin loves pixies," Jake says. "Ahh, it's like they're trying to make it hard!"

The next day, Jake goes to brunch with the Kevins to get to know them better. After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence, the three men realize they have nothing to talk about. That is, until Kevin 2 runs to the bathroom to escape the awkwardness, and Jake and Kevin 1 discover their mutual love of motorcycles. Jake encourages Kevin 1 to get a motorcycle, but when Kevin 2 returns to the table, things take a nasty turn.

"Kevin, have you been talking about two-wheeled hearses again?" Kevin 2 exclaims. Kevin 2 despises motorcycles and is livid with Kevin 1 for even entertaining the idea of getting one. Suddenly the Kevins are in an all-out fight, and Kevin 2 storms off.

In other news, Gil has a problem: Marge Flarnshnard called dibs on making waffles at the parade, so now he needs a new booth idea. He and Annie start brainstorming and decide to write a song to perform together at the parade. Annie is reluctant due to her stage fright, but Gil convinces her that together, they have "it," and are an unstoppable musical force.

Later, Kevin 2 calls Jake and rips him a new one for suggesting Kevin 1 get what he calls a "donor-cycle." Jake calms him down by offering to talk Kevin 1 out of buying a hog. But on his way to the Kevins' house, he runs into Kevin 1 pulling up on his new mint green Vespa, which he thinks counts as a motorcycle. Kevin 1 has never felt so alive - until Kevin 2 shows up and is furious at how stupid and selfish the other Kevin is being.

"I cannot believe you're willing to commit to a death machine but you're not willing to commit to me!" he cries.

The Kevins aren't the only ones fighting - Annie and Gil aren't the magical musical duo they thought they were. After a blowout fight over Flemish-inspired song lyrics, Annie stops by Gil's apartment with apology guacamole. While they're making amends, inspiration suddenly strikes and "it" returns, prompting them to come up with a Flemish version of Patti LaBelle's "New Attitude," called "Bruges Attitude."

Meanwhile, Jake goes to Dennah and Kay for advice on the whole Kevins situation and realizes their fight isn't about motorcycles, it's about Kevin 1 being afraid to get married to Kevin 2. Jake suddenly gets it - he was Kevin! - And he knows how to solve this. He finds Kevin 1 at a gay biker bar and has a heart-to-heart with him.

"So you're saying that I'm putting Kevin through the same hell you put Annie through?" asks Kevin, realizing yhat while he's afraid of messing with a good thing, he's more afraid of letting Kevin 2 down.

So Kevin 1 and Jake jump on Kevin's scooter and race to the Flemish Pride Parade to patch things up with Kevin 2. When they get there, they find Kevin 2 coaxing Annie out of the porta-potty she's locked herself in from stage fright. Despite the foul smell and sewage runoff, Kevin 1 chooses this moment to ask Kevin 2 to marry him. Of course, he says yes, and Annie rushes out of the john for a porta-potty-adjacent group hug.

In the end, Annie overcomes her stage fright for a memorable, be it poorly attended, "Bruges Attitude" performance.
