Synopsis

IN SEASON PREMIERE, DESPERATE SEARCH FOR ABDUCTED GIRL LEADS PROSECUTORS TO CONSIDER IMMUNITY DEAL FOR HER SAFE RETURN -- When a 5-year-old girl is abducted from her mother in broad daylight during an apparent car jacking, Detectives Fontana (Dennis Farina) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) canvass the streets, only to uncover a more sinister motive when they discover the car intact but no trace of the girl. The investigators soon unearth an ex-convict with the child's bloodied dress -- but he won't talk until he's guaranteed release. With time and leads running out and the prospect of the girl's safe return looking unlikely, A.D.A.s McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Borgia (Annie Parisse) consider a deal with severe legal and political ramifications.
