STUDENT'S MURDER REVEALS CORPORATE DISREGARD FOR LIFE--When a college activist is stabbed to death in the meat packing district, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) discover that the student's latest cause had led him to investigate a local beef supplier known for operating under unsanitary conditions. Once the owner (guest star Jesse Doran) of the meat plant in question becomes a suspect in the murder, Executive A.D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) and A.D.A. Southerlyn (Elisabeth Rohm) explore both his various clients and his corporate owner--uncovering five more deaths attributed to bad beef and opening the case to pursue those ultimately responsible for the preventable deaths.
