ELDERLY MURDER VICTIM COULD HOLD KEY TO FORTUNE IN INSURANCE CLAIMS -- When a murdered elderly man is found to have been both stabbed and shot, perplexed Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) discover that the victim was a life insurance salesman who sold bogus policies to Holocaust victims during World War II -- a fact that could prove costly to the company now holding title to the old claims. While assistant D.A. McCoy (Sam Waterston) thinks they have the culprit who stabbed the man, they look deeper for the shooter's motive and learn that the victim possessed valuable information about specific policy numbers.
