In Richmond's campaign office, Linden and Holder pin Gwen and Jamie as prime suspects, since they're "the only ones in Richmond's campaign with enough power to broker a deal between the Indians and Ames."

Linden and Holder barge into Mayor Adams' office and strike a deal: he'll keep Lt. Carlson off their backs in exchange for them not exposing Adams' involvement in the doctored Richmond toll booth photo. Linden insists they're fighting a common foe, acknowledging that Richmond's camp planted the Indian bones at Adams' waterfront construction site.

At the Larsen home, Terry and the boys return from trick-or-treating. Denny embraces Mitch when he sees her, but Tommy stalks away.

In the car, Linden and Holder review Jamie and Gwen's alibis on the night of Rosie's murder. Holder says Jamie was with his grandfather all night, then went to the City Hall gym at 4:37 a.m. -- without his keycard, according to a guard.

On the morning of Election Day, Gwen tells Richmond that "preliminary polls aren't great."

Holder calls Linden to report that Jamie's grandfather confirmed Jamie's alibi.

At City Hall, Linden asks a Richmond campaign worker to identify the owner of the blood-stained keycard. He says the list of keycard IDs was mysteriously deleted from his hard drive soon after Rosie's murder, but reveals that Gwen requested a new keycard after the murder.

At the Wapi Casino, Holder and Linden glimpse Chief Jackson and Roberta Drays squabbling and deduce that they're romantically involved. Chief Jackson hands over casino camera security footage from the night of Rosie's murder -- minus footage from the elevator camera, which Chief Jackson claims is broken. On the wall, Linden notices a photo from the Wapi Casino's grand opening and spots Gwen and Senator Eaton standing alongside Chief Jackson.

Councilwoman Ruth Yitanes tells Linden and Holder that Gwen canceled their dinner plans on the night of Rosie's murder. When Linden asks if the Richmond campaign has links to Michael Ames' company, Columbia Domain Fund, Yitanes says the company donates to Mayor Adams.

The press swarms Richmond as he emerges from the voting booth. Mayor Adams approaches for a photo opportunity and quietly tells Richmond his career is over. Outside, Gwen and Richmond hold hands. "I tried so hard for you," she says.

At the Larsen residence, Terry surprises Mitch with the news that Stan bought a house. Terry snaps when Mitch defends her long absence. "I've been working my ass off trying to keep your family together while you were trying to find yourself on some vision quest," she fumes.

At the City Planning Department, Linden and Holder review paperwork for Ames' companies. They learn that Ames' newest company, Nereus Capital Properties, had its authorization to bid on city contracts expedited by Jamie and that Michael's wife Sally's name is not on the new company. Nereus then landed the contract for the mayor's waterfront construction site.

Linden and Holder question Jamie about Nereus. He says he expedited the request in an attempt to woo Ames as a campaign donor. When Holder inquires about his keycard, Jamie shows it to him.

In the car, Linden wonders if Gwen and Jamie are both involved in Rosie's murder. Holder speculates that Gwen canceled her dinner with Yitanes upon learning about the waterfront break-in.

In the Larsen garage, Stan smiles when he hears about Janek's death on the radio. Mitch says she knows about the second house and Stan suggests they move for a "fresh start." "I don't want to leave her behind," Mitch says. "There's no moving on, as long as we're here in this house!" Stan shouts.

Linden and Holder visit the Lake Union Yacht Club, where a valet shares the guest sign-in log for Oct. 5. They see Gwen's name signed in at 8:37 p.m. with a license plate number that matches the campaign car in which Rosie's body was found.

Linden and Holder question Gwen, who admits she recently lost her keycard but maintains she was at a Tacoma bed and breakfast on the night of Rosie's murder. Linden confronts her about the campaign car. Gwen warns them to be careful with murder accusations.

Back at the Larsen home, Mitch tucks the boys into bed while Stan watches in the doorway.

Richmond's campaign team erupts in cheers when they learn Richmond and Adams are now neck and neck. Richmond receives a phone call and frowns. "What do you want?" he asks as he watches Gwen and Jamie talk.

At Holder's apartment, Linden studies the grand opening photo and notices Jackson's former head of security had a broken arm.

At the casino, Linden and Holder tell Drays that Jackson framed her former head of security for murder and will eventually do the same to her. They demand to see all redacted casino security footage from the night of Rosie's murder.

Richmond's driver drops him off at the house of Jamie's grandfather, Ted Wright.

Linden and Holder watch the missing security footage, which reveals the campaign car pulling up at 12:58 a.m. Holder plays a second disc, labeled "10th floor elevator." They watch Rosie enter the elevator at 1:02 a.m.

Ted tells Richmond he's glad he came. When Richmond presses him, Ted replies, "What's your hurry? You need to go somewhere and make another speech about me?"

Linden and Holder continue to watch the security footage and see Chief Jackson board the elevator at 1:04 a.m. At 1:05, Michael Ames shows up. Finally, at 1:07, Jamie enters the elevator and looks directly into the camera.

Jamie arrives at Ted's home. "What did you do? What the hell is so important you had to talk to me tonight?" he demands, then sees Richmond. "Why did you lie to me, Jamie?" Richmond asks.
