Kim is freaking out because she has gone 12 whole hours without cable. When the cable guy finally does arrive, she discovers it's a cable lady, Penny, who she went to high school with. The two women immediately bond over their love for cable television.
Kath and Kim hit the mall to look for wedding ideas for Kath. Two lesbians give Kath some ideas on invitations and Kim senses that her mother is uncomfortable with the situation. Later on, Kath, herself, is a little surprised with her behavior awkwardness around the two women.
Phil is becoming self-conscious of his hairy backend and is afraid Kath might be turned off by him because of it. Kath gets honest with Phil and tells him she's not crazy about his hairy situation. He says he can handle the truth, but hides back the tears.
Kath misinterprets a conversation between Kim and Penny and now suspects Kim might be gay. She calls Craig over immediately. Kath asks Craig if he ever noticed anything different Kim wanted to try when it came to sex. This conversation makes Craig's uncomfortable, but is slow to catch on what Kath is trying to hint at.
Craig interrupts Penny and Kim's girls' night to talk to his wife. Penny tells Craig to leave Kim alone. As the two have a verbal and poking altercation, a guy from the bar steps in to break it up. Craig challenges the guy to a fight and the two begin to wrestle on the bar floor. Penny joins the rumble.
Phil is determined to give himself a waxing in order to make Kath happy. She walks in just as he is applying the wax. Kath wants Phil to know she loves him for who he is. He says he's waxing to make both of them happy. She offers to help him finish the job up.
Kath tells Kim that she has totally accepted her daughter's gay. Kim is confused and says she is not gay and either is Penny. Kath is actually disappointed. She was hoping to be a cool mom to a lesbian, like Cher. Craig walks in bragging about the sex he had with Kim the night before. Kath is still confused if they are getting back together or not, as is Craig.
