Kath is having a hard time accepting that her client, Nancy, wants to take her daughter to a "real" salon for her prom. Kath and Kim go shopping at the mall for a little retail therapy and Kim discovers the mall's upcoming "Prom-enade" for prom season. Kim is excited at the prospect of showcasing her different styles at the event.

While at the mall, Kim stops and sees Craig. He wants to talk to her, but his boss won't let him. When he begs for a break, his boss fires him on the spot. Kim is happy to see him not working at the mall anymore. Craig is more worried about not having a paycheck.

Kath is celebrating because Phil is using his connections to get her a booth at the Prom-enade. Meanwhile, Craig comes by with a fresh box of cinnamon rolls for Kim. He is now working at the food court in the mall. Kim is excited to see Craig working with food instead of electronics. Craig is not too thrilled.

Phil stops by to let Kath know he has used his connections at the mall to get her a hair booth. Phil puts on his businessman hat and helps Kath out with promotion for her booth. Kath still can't believe herdream is coming true and she's working at such a big time event.

Kath arrives at the mall with Phil, eager to set up her booth, only to find out it's located outside the official Prom-enade, upstairs, and near the dumpsters. Phil blames himself for Kath's poor location because he always refuses to play mall politics, but she assures him she's fine. She hides the disappointment in her face by turning away.

Craig quits his job after Kim has a fit there. She is escorted out of the mall because of her behavior, but is allowed back in when she proves that she's a hair model for her mother. She's shocked to find Craig back to work at his old electronics job. He begs Kim to leave before his boss sees her there again. Upset, Kim leaves.

Kath is mad that Kim is late and now she doesn't have time to perform any of her fancy hairstyles. Kim shows up and pushes Kath to do the ultimate hairstyle, "The Flying Wench." Kath takes on the challenge and Kim serves as her model.

Phil puts his muscles to the test and physically moves Kath's booth to a better location downstairs with the "real" hair booths. The audience is impressed with Kath's design on Kim's head and she is greeted with wild applause and the respect she deserves.
