Sunny faces the toughest showdown of his life; Bajie's loyalties are tested to their limits.

Sunny makes his way to Waldo's Clipper shed. He uncovers his old motorcycle that bears the armadillo insignia and heads out after Quinn.

At his bunker, Quinn tells Henry the "final battle" is here.

At the Widow's Sanctuary, Waldo chastises the Widow for declaring war on Sunny and Quinn and asks about Tilda. The Widow claims they "parted ways," but Waldo wonders if Tilda is even alive. "You and Quinn deserve each other," he spits. "I'm done." As Waldo makes his way out, the Widow offers him a Baron position. Waldo recites the Widow's plan to get rid of titles in the Badlands, but the Widow maintains her vision will happen at a slow pace and insists Waldo needs her to survive "what's coming next."

Quinn passionately talks up his Loyalists before Sunny's arrival. Lydia desperately tries to warn the men about the explosives in the bunker, but the men don't react and she realizes they're all willing to die. Quinn deems her attempt at corrupting his men an unforgivable act and instructs his men to have Lydia dig her own grave before she's executed.

The Widow talks to M.K. about their gifts once again. He reminds her that he's not interested in getting it back, but the Widow alludes to him not having a choice. M.K. places a pair of shears up to his throat and demands to know where Bajie is. He knows if he dies, the Widow gets nothing. Bajie is ushered in, and the Widow recounts their plan to use their gifts to help people and how Bajie instead caved to the Master's will at the Monastery. Bajie insists he sacrificed his own gift to save her, but the Widow claims he only came back for the Azra book, prompting M.K. to question Bajie's true intentions during their mission to save Sunny. M.K. walks out, emotional. The Widow orders Bajie to translate the Azra book to determine how to unlock M.K.'s gift "or die trying."

Out in the woods, Declan and another Loyalist guard Lydia as she digs her grave. Declan hands her a Totemist figure for her "journey" and whips out his sword. She prays for strength, then suddenly uses the shovel to kill Declan. The other Loyalist chases her through the woods until Sunny appears and hurls a sword at his head. Lydia warns Sunny that Quinn knows he's coming and has rigged the entire bunker to explode, but Sunny refuses to turn back. He gives her a knife for "whatever comes next" and rides off.

Tilda wakes up in a cell coughing blood and remains shocked that the Widow could ever hurt her. Bajie, locked away next to her, introduces himself as M.K.'s friend. A guard brings in a tray of food and Tilda requests he bring it closer, citing her injuries. He walks out and Bajie laughs at Tilda's failed attempt to lure the guard. They hear a noise and Odessa appears with the guard's keys to free Tilda. She admits she's the one that turned M.K. and Bajie in, and Tilda insists she help her get M.K. back. Odessa warns Tilda she's in no shape to go against the Widow again. Tilda frees Bajie and suggests he save M.K. instead.

The Widow expresses regret that M.K. was betrayed by the people he trusted most, but he takes a dig at her attempts at being sincere. The Widow cuts the act and threatens to keep him until she gets what she wants. M.K. promises to kill her when he does get his gift back, but the Widow says she's willing to die and welcomes his attempt.

Bajie, Tilda and Odessa disguise themselves as Cogs and try to steal a car to leave the Sanctuary. A guard stops them, but Waldo appears and vouches for them. Tilda takes Waldo's hand and invites him to come with them. Waldo wishes her well and lets her leave.

Sunny arrives at Quinn's bunker and is immediately surrounded by Loyalists. Quinn stands among them, holding Henry, and tells Sunny the only way to keep his family safe is to leave peacefully. Sunny charges as the Loyalists shoot flaming arrows. He's pierced in the chest and drops to his knees. Quinn launches an arrow at an explosive wired to the roof near Sunny. Sunny is left buried underneath the debris.

Bajie drives Tilda and Odessa out of the Sanctuary, then starts out after Sunny on his own.

Veil remains locked in the barbershop.

Bajie makes it to Quinn's bunker and pulls Sunny out from beneath the pile of rubble. He promises to help save M.K. after Sunny's family is rescued. Sunny says it's his fight, but Bajie sticks around. Sunny uses Moon's ringed sword and Bajie uses a pair of nunchucks to tear through Quinn's Loyalists, cutting off limbs as they go.

Sunny spots Veil and rushes over to bust her out of the barbershop. They tearfully embrace and share a passionate kiss just as a remaining Loyalist, Jenkins, walks in. Bajie bum-rushes Jenkins so that Veil and Sunny can go after Quinn. Jenkins rises to his feet and goes after Bajie. The two brawl inside the barbershop until Bajie throws Jenkins into a shelf. Jenkins recovers and goes after Bajie with a pair of scissors. Bajie manages to use a shard of glass to cut into Jenkin's throat, killing him, but notices he's been stabbed in the gut during the exchange. "What kind of a death is that?" Bajie jokes. He uncovers the compass from his pocket and laments being "this close" and wonders who will save the world now.

Sunny finds Quinn in his office and demands Henry back. Quinn presses a switch and the bunker starts to collapse from the subsequent explosion. He warns Sunny again to turn back, but Veil orders Sunny to kill Quinn. Sunny and Quinn both draw their swords and face-off in a meticulous battle as they spin through the air. The pair crashes though the office window and end up on the concourse floor below to continue the fight as Veil makes her way down with Henry. Quinn plunges his sai into Sunny, who urges Veil to flee, but before she can leave, Quinn hurls another sai at her leg and she drops to the ground. He holds a sword to Veil's face but before he can strike, Sunny throws his ringed sword into Quinn's back and the battle is back on. They chase each other around the bunker until Sunny delivers a final plunge into Quinn's gut and swoops back down to get Veil. Sunny looks for Bajie, but Veil urges them to leave before the bunker fully collapses. He takes Henry in his arms and starts out just as Quinn grabs Veil from behind and offers her in exchange for Henry. "You can't have both," he tells Sunny. Veil tells Sunny she loves him and plunges Quinn's sai into her own throat and impaling Quinn, killing them both in the process. As Veil dies, she begs Sunny to teach Henry to "be good."

Sunny buries Veil and sets off into the woods with Henry in his arms.

Bajie rides Sunny's motorcycle towards an ancient stone citadel on the edge of a cliff with rusted satellite dishes on top of it. Inside, he staggers towards a control room and opens the Azra book to a page full of symbols matching those on a console's dials. The compass inside the book begins to spin and point towards the written symbols. Bajie adjusts the corresponding dials until the console beeps and comes to life. He smiles and slumps to the floor. "Azra," he whispers.
