After unraveling the truth behind Nina's relationship to President Kincaid, Ellen urges Duncan to back out of the assassination plot. Duncan reiterates that he's in too deep, especially since his contact, Creasy, has been eliminated. Fearing that he might be targeted next, Duncan enlists Sandrine and Kramer to tail his new contact, Agent Logan. Eventually, they learn that the higher ups, Blair and Vanessa, decided to take matters in their own hands and have President Kincaid killed on an upcoming trip to New York. Duncan wonders if he'll be able to reach the President to extract the bone marrow he needs to save his wife. Meanwhile, Ellen digs through Nina's medical records, hopeful that she can find another solution to save Nina and give Duncan another alternative. She stumbles across a record of a blood marrow donation from Sally Whitaker, who is a 28% match for Nina. Ellen goes to find Sally, who turns out to be Nina's mother, Kate Renner, and has been in hiding under that pseudonym for many years.
