Friends with Benefits Episode 1.08 The Benefit of Mentor

When Ben recruits Aaron to help him out with the porn pop-ups on his computer, Aaron discovers that his childhood friend, Mary Webber, is now a porn star. Aaron used to mentor Mary in math when she was 14 years old, and he was convinced she had a bright future; she was unbelievably talented at multivariable calculus. Ben points out that she's pretty good at sex, too.

As her mentor, Aaron told Mary to "find her hole and fill it" - little did he know she would take that advice so literally. Feeling responsible for Mary's career choice, Aaron becomes determined to find Mary, or "Liza Blue" as she's more commonly known, and fix what he started so many years ago.

Sara is astonished when her idol, pediatric surgeon Dr. Lawnsdale, acts extremely unprofessional and makes a pass at Riley. Sara begs Riley not to date him, worried that Riley will embarrass her and put her career in jeopardy. Riley begs to differ; she's dated a congressman and two hockey players, so she can hold her own with a measly doctor.

Ben and Fitz receive news that their friend Noah just got out of intensive care, and they decide they should probably go visit him since it's their fault he's in there (a result of a freak incident during flag football). Ben and Aaron arrive to find an incapacitated and unconscious Noah and decide to just sign his cast and get out of there. But their attitude changes when they come across Noah's hot girlfriend, Lana.

Aaron returns from lunch with Mary with mixed emotions. Apparently, Mary believes that she has Aaron to thank for her success and admits that she has always had a big crush on him. The gang pushes Aaron to sleep with her, but Aaron worries that it would be creepy and weird since he is her mentor.

Ben and Fitz agree that there's no world in which you can go after a man's girlfriend when he's lying motionless in a hospital bed. Only it seems both of them failed to follow through on that promise, as they run in to each other later at the hospital attempting to win over Lana with their kindness.

Riley's date with Dr. Lawnsdale doesn't go so great; she's over it. Dr. Lawnsdale, on the other hand, is completely enamored and seeks out Sara's help in winning over Riley. Put in an awkward position, Sara demands that Riley, who has a bad habit of always leaving things open-ended with her exes, cut off Dr. Lawnsdale completely. Riley finally tells Dr. Lawnsdale she's moving to Egypt, who responds by requesting a transfer to Cairo.

Aaron and Mary sleep together on their second date, despite Aaron's feeble attempt to keep things platonic. But after catching Fitz watching one of her DVDs, Aaron realizes that dating a porn star is more than he can handle. Aaron decides to take the matter into his own hands and uses his hacking skills to block all of Mary's websites. Mary later confronts Aaron, declaring that if he wants to be with her, he has to accept her for who she is. Aaron concedes and tells her he will always be there for her regardless of her career choice.

Ben and Fitz's charade has gotten out of hand; the two show up in full clown costumes in their respective attempts to win over Lana. That's when Lana shows the guys her "Noah Forever" tattoo. She confesses that before the accident she was really on the fence about Noah, but meeting Ben and Fitz changed all that; anyone who has friends as good as them must be a pretty special person.
