Nick and Pete help Nick's courtroom nemesis, Judge Parker (played by Dan Aykroyd), when the judge asks for their legal assistance after he was caught in a motel room with a hooker and drugs. When Judge Parker is arrested for 30 counts of felony drug possession, (oxycodone), and engaging the services of a prostitute, he calls Nick to come to his rescue. He believes that Nick is the right guy, and Nick just can't turn it down. As they peel back the layers of the onion in this case, they come to find that Judge Parker is not the bad guy that everyone thinks. He has actually been helping this girl Lucy, who has been enlisted by the DA's office in a sting operation against Parker. The DA pressured her and threatened that she would lose her seven year old daughter if she did not cooperate. It is revealed in Nick's closing argument that Parker's wife died the previous year, and that he was feeling very alone and vulnerable. Nick manages to win the case.
