Nick and Pete defend an ex-football player on an assault charge. Also, Pete's colorful father comes to town. The wife of an ex pro foortball player finds Nick and Pete to have them defend her husband on an assault charge. He uncharacteristically attacked a social worker, and really did some damage. His wife lets our guys know that her husband left the family because he had been having violent outbursts and drinking, and he did not want to hurt the kids. But she believes he is a good man and something else is going on here. After doing some investigating, Lisa and Nick find out that this man has had mulitple head injuries, and is suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury. His violent outburts are due to the brain damage in his frontal lobe. They provoke him to attack Pete on the stand in an outrage -- and prove to the jury that he has a real physical problem. This saves him from going to prison. he goes into rehab and reuniteds with his family.
