Crowded Episode 1.05 Amongst The Waves

Another family movie night makes Mike (Patrick Warburton) and Martina (Carrie Preston) realize they need a night out with people their own age. But when they try to arrange a double date with John and Ann, they learn the pair has separated. Fortuitously, Mike and Martina only liked John anyway, and now Mike can set him up with Jane, his fun coworker. The foursome's double date goes even better than predicted - until John and Ann suggest they all take Molly and get in the hot tub naked. Determined to be cool, Mike and Martina roll with it, but are forced to draw the line when John says they need to kick it up a notch and starts looking for condoms. Making matters worse, Ann unexpectedly shows up and realizes Mike and Martina are the ones who fixed up John. Her arrival also prompts both her and John to admit they still love each other, and to prove it, they have sex on top of Mike and Martina's clothes.

Shea (Miranda Cosgrove), Stella (Mia Serafino) and Ethan (Clifford McGhee), meanwhile, run Bob's (Stacy Keach) bar for a night so he can take Alice (Carlease Burke) out. Shea attracts more cops to the bar, while Stella tweets that the bar won't be checking IDs - oops. When the cops notice what's going on, Stella has no choice but to call Bob. He's able to keep the girls and Ethan from getting arrested after he explains they were only serving vinegar and soda to the minors, but Bob's night with Alice can't be so easily fixed. Realizing how much Alice was looking forward to their evening together, Bob swallows his hatred of going out and shows his girl a proper night on the town.
