Lindsay brings Bunny and her bloody glove to Voight, and convinces him to pursue the case. Privately, Bunny and Voight clash - even if Lindsay trusts her, Voight remains suspicious. In any event, Lindsay and Halstead follow an initial lead on a career robber named Vosh who rented a truck and never returned it. They tail him to a money exchange and witness him accost the manager and take her hostage. After a tense standoff (and a key shot to the shoulder) they apprehend Vosh, but the hostage reveals another wrinkle to the case - Vosh and his partner abducted her family. Once Roman and Burgess confirm the kidnapping, Intelligence jumps into the hunt for Vosh's partner.

Antonio brings in detective Gina Gawronski from Robbery/Homicide to help with the investigation. She relays that Vosh and his crew remain chief suspects in a string of unsolved robberies at money exchanges throughout the city, and that the parent company is offering a $25,000 reward for information. Gawronski also reveals to Antonio she's going through her own divorce - and offers to grab a drink sometime. Is there a little electricity between these two?

Intelligence locates the missing rental truck dumped in the river, and inside they discover the two dead bodies of the hostage's family. Voight and Lindsay, both affected by the grisly scene, rush to Chicago Med, pull Vosh out of his bed and toss him into a snow bank. The extreme measure results in Vosh giving up his partner, Miko - and soon enough Intelligence corners the crook in a seedy motel. Miko puts up a serious fight with Antonio in the alley, absorbing as many punches as he lands - until Halstead and Lindsay manage to apprehend him.

But in interrogation, Miko states that Bunny knew about their outfit and took cash in advance for silence - it wasn't until she raised her price that they ended the deal. Although Bunny denies knowledge of the robberies (or the ensuing murders), she finally cops to an awareness of the reward money. Distrust now reigns supreme, and Voight interviews Bunny's new husband for any intel on her intensions. He reveals Bunny's latest problem: an old boyfriend gave her a life loan and now he wants to cash it in. She needs that reward money.

Meanwhile, Miko escapes from jail using the identity of another prisoner and causes a citywide manhunt, dead or alive. Voight leans on Vosh and obtains the whereabouts of a secret stash house with Vosh's cut of their robbery, Miko's most likely destination. Sure enough, Intelligence finds Miko there and initiates a firefight that ends in the street - and with Miko in cuffs. As they roll up to jail, Miko brags about his next inevitable escape - and a headshot drops him to the ground! All eyes turn to the shooter - the recently widowed hostage from the earlier robbery.

Later, Commander Fischer announces that the company issuing the $25,000 reward claims Bunny's complicity in the robberies and withholds any money. This news causes Bunny to erupt - until Voight demands she come clean. She gives him the name of the blackmailer and how much she owes... and without her knowledge or consent, Voight buys her debt from him. In exchange, he orders her stay out of Lindsay's life forever.

At a restaurant, Antonio, noticeably bruised from his fight with Miko, meets up with Gawronski. They start off with small talk, but it doesn't take long before their attraction ignites - and they end up at her apartment, lip locked and tearing off their clothes...
