The chance of offstage drama grows when both Trace (Jesse Metcalfe) and Abby (Meghan Ory) volunteer at the school play.

While the pair works on Caitlyn (Abbie Magnuson) and Carrie's (Kayden Magnuson) school play, Trace comes face to face with a new man in Abby's (Meghan Ory) life. Seeing that Abby may have already moved on, Trace considers moving on himself. While trying to save his business, Mick (Treat Williams) falls into old habits of prioritizing work over Megan (Barbara Niven) as the two explore rekindling their romance.

When faced with a difficult decision, Connor (Andrew Francis) turns to Nell (Diane Ladd) for relationship advice. Jess (Laci J. Mailey) and David (Carlo Marks) butt heads on design decisions, wanting to make their new B&B reflect both of them. In the wake of a big change in her personal life, Bree (Emilie Ullerup) struggles to rewrite the ending of her play. Meanwhile, Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) share a big announcement with the O'Briens, which they receive with less enthusiasm than expected.
