After Emily's elimination, Alison addresses the remaining players. They've proven they can lose weight on the ranch; they've proven they can lose weight at home; but can they lose weight in one of the most difficult places on the planet? The good news is everyone's going on vacation to Hawaii! It's time to test the excuse "I can't lose weight on vacation." Excited, the players return to the house to pack their T-shirts and sweats, and the next day, they're in Hawaii. As it turns out, none of the players have been there before, so they're all experiencing the island paradise for the first time. Everyone gathers on the beach to meet the trainers who arrive in paddleboats to remind that they're on the island to work - and they have a weigh-in at the end of the week.

The trainers give the contestants their first day in Hawaii to get acclimated and have fun. Conda wonders who goes on vacation to lose weight? Not her! That evening around dusk, Dolvett sneak attacks the pool. If the contestants aren't moving, they're not losing! The next day, everyone heads to the beach to meet Bob and Dolvett for their first workout. Bob announces that there's a special treat in store for today. Since this season is about no excuses, they're going to meet the person who owns no excuses. The trainers point to the surf where Bethany Hamilton sits on her surfboard. Bob asks Bethany to tell the contestants her story of determination and overcoming adversity. She advises them to push fear to the side and go for it! Right now, she's going to teach everyone how to surf - it's great exercise, but it's not as easy as it looks.

Dolvett talks with Kimmy, who's standing on the shore contemplating the water. Kimmy is just now learning to swim. Little does she know, the water scares Dolvett out of his mind... Agreeing that Bethany is a total inspiration, Dolvett and Kimmy resolve to get into the water and surf together. After catching a wave all the way to the beach, Kimmy says she can't remember feeling more exhilarated. Fear is just a feeling - and you can get over it! Later over lunch, Chris, Conda, Megan and Kimmy discuss Kim. Where is she? Little do they know, she's working out. She knows she has a target on her back, and she isn't going to let her guard down.

That afternoon, the contestants arrive at a luau, complete with fruity drinks, hula dancers and bare-chested muscle men. Alison appears to challenge the players to a Hawaiian-style pop quiz. The winner will receive a one-pound advantage at the weigh-in. Since her nickname is the "Queen of Useless Knowledge," Chris is thinking she has an edge, but Buddy and Kim give her a run for her money. At the end, Chris and Kim are tied, so Alison asks them a tiebreaker question. And Chris takes it, winning her one-pound advantage.

Later that day, the contestants find Dolvett waiting for them on the beach, standing next to a stationary bike, which is fitted with a blender. He constructs a challenge; the first person to drop a yoga-like pose will get on the bike and pedal to make a low-cal Yoplait smoothie. Who says you can't make smart choices on vacation? Afterwards, Dolvett pulls Kim aside for a walk on the beach. He can tell that something's going on - she doesn't seem like herself. Now that Cassandra and Emily are gone, Kim admits to feeling alone and lonely. Dolvett's concerned that Kim isn't fighting the way she usually does. Kim explains that she found herself listening to what the other women were saying the first day in Hawaii - they all decided to chill out. Now Kim feels like she's going to have to work harder than the others to stay on the show. Dolvett encourages Kim to let all her emotions hang out - she doesn't have to be scared to show people who she is. After their talk, Kim puts together a new exercise plan and starts implementing it.

Bob had made it his mission to show America and his team anyone can lose weight on vacation. He puts Conda, Chris and Megan on a boat and tells them to row straight out into the ocean. Once they're way out, Bob orders them out of the boats - it's time to swim to shore! Clearly, Bob opened a can of crazy this morning... Meanwhile, Dolvett has the remaining contestants digging holes on the beach and running in the sand with shovels. Later that afternoon, the players meet Alison and a bunch of tiki statues labeled with their names in a grassy field for a challenge - which includes the prize of immunity! At the bottom of the hill are tons of leis. The players have to run down the hill, grab a blue lei, then run back up and hang it on another player's tiki. Once a tiki has 10 leis, that player is eliminated. There's also one "death lei," which guarantees a player's immediate elimination.

Once again, Buddy's stress fracture has him sitting out of the challenge because he can't pass medical. As the challenge gets underway, everyone seems to target Chris, but strategies abound. Kim is the next target, and she's not surprised at all. Early in the challenge, Kimmy walks up the hill, holding the death lei wrapped around her fist. She offers it to Mark, who doesn't want it. He's surprised when Kimmy doesn't hesitate to hang it on Kim's tiki, taking her out of the game. Mark figured Kimmy would go for someone with no leis - Kim was almost eliminated from the challenge already! Chris is next out, and it's not too much longer before Conda starts shouting orders, and Megan is taken out. Conda remarks that everyone knows that she Jeremy, Mark and Buddy are close. "Some people call it an alliance; I call it a friendship," Conda says. Knowing she has nine leis, Kimmy runs up the hill hoping to beat Jeremy. Jeremy offers a deal: if Kimmy doesn't put a lei on his tiki, he won't put one on hers. They both hang their leis on Mark's tiki.

It's not long before Mark takes Kimmy out, and only Jeremy, Conda and Mark are left. Of course, Jeremy asks his sister if she wants to win, and of course, she says yes. Jeremy asks aloud, "Why I keep letting my sister win stuff, I don't know." Brother and sister work together to take out Mark, until Jeremy decides he's going to use Mark to do the dirty work, letting him run up and down the hill, putting leis on Conda's tiki. Mark comments, "America's right; you're both terrible people," but he decides he's still in the challenge. Conda comes back in the end to dictate strategy, but Mark's not doing her bidding this time. Up at the top of the hill, both Mark and Jeremy have nine leis on their tiki, while Conda only has eight. Finally, Jeremy decides the challenge has gone on long enough and finishes Mark off.

Conda high-fives Jeremy, then puts the final lei on his tiki. Jeremy thinks he executed the perfect plan - Conda won immunity, which is what he wanted. Conda takes exception when Alison asks Jeremy why he "gave" the win to Conda, who believes she worked for the win. Mark points out that this is the second challenge in a row that Jeremy has won and given to his sister. Alison reminds Conda that if she gains weight this week, her immunity won't count, and she will fall below the yellow line. Later that day, Mark decides to approach Kim. He can tell that she's been feeling alone since Emily and Cassandra left. She admits that she does feel alone - which means she's only going to fight harder. Mark understands her position. Both he and Kim are hard workers, which puts them both in a place where people want to send them home. He promises not to vote for her; he'd rather make it to the end of the game fighting her every step of the way. Kim is grateful to know that finally she's on the same page with someone else.

That night, Alison, Bob and Dolvett are waiting for the contestants next to the last battleship built by America, the U.S.S. Missouri, at Pearl Harbor - it's time for the weigh-in! Since Conda has immunity, she's first to weigh in. All she has to do is not gain weight to remain safe, and she has managed to lose four pounds at 1.81%. Having won a one-pound advantage at the pop challenge, Chris is up next, and she has lost three pounds this week. Mark loses four pounds bringing him to 200 total. Jeremy needs to lose more than six to guarantee his safety, and he's lost seven. Dolvett comments that Jeremy has his eye on the win. Megan needs to lose more than four to stay above the yellow line, but she's only managed to lose three at 1.52%, which means Chris is safe. Buddy needs to lose more than five, and he takes off six at 2.14%. Kimmy loses two at 1.23%, which Dolvett sees as complacency. Where's her fight?

Kim is the last contestant called to weigh in, and she needs to lose more than two pounds to stay above the yellow line, and she takes off a solid five at 2.84% - which puts her in first place. Now both Megan and Kimmy are below the yellow line; either mother or daughter will go home. The contestants meet for the elimination aboard the U.S.S. Missouri, where Alison chairs the elimination discussion. Kimmy wants the players to send her home so that Megan can stay. Kim points out that the strategic vote is for Megan, since she has more weight to lose. Everyone - specifically Conda and Jeremy - used this strategy last week to vote off Emily - why change now? Mark, Jeremy and Buddy respect Kimmy's wishes, and these three votes send her home.
